February 25th of 2013, week 4 of OSUT, I was on desk duty for a sprained ankle that morning, today was our second day at the firing range, pvts are all excited and ready to fire their weapons, while 3rd platoon was getting their weapons checked out, let’s call him private P (ha ha) went into our locker with the rest of his platoon, out of my sight, I’m just sitting there with the rest of (bd squad) waiting to see what we’re doing today, when I hear DS A scream “what the fuck is wrong with you private?!” DS B and C rush in next, and I hear all this clamouring and screaming, turns out when private P pulled his weapon, he “mistakenly” aimed the barrel at DS A, and he didn’t like that very much, this was the same private who got lost on our March to defaq every morning (so you can get a picture of what kind of progressive thinker he is) DS A finally got sick of his shit, the very next morning he was off to RHU with a 5-17 discharge. Moral of this story, as we learned day one, if you have a weapon, don’t raise the barrel unless you’re 100% sure you’re going to kill whatever is at the other side.
